Jessica
Hall, pianist, received both her Masters in Music and Graduate Certificate in
Keyboard Collaborative Arts from the University of Southern California,
Thornton School of Music. While there,
she received the Gwendolyn Koldofsky Scholarship, a KCA Studio Teaching
Assistantship and a Music Merit tuition scholarship. She plans to continue her journey as a Trojan this fall as she
begins the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in KCA with the opera department’s
teaching assistantship. Since moving to
Los Angeles in 2006, Jessica has served as a staff pianist with OperaWorks
Summer Intensive Program, and has worked within the vocal departments of
Chapman University, UCLA, Pasadena City College, and Scripps College. She has also been the official pianist for
The Music Center’s Spotlight Awards Classical Vocal Master Class, taught by
Cynthia Munzer, for the past two years, and in May 2011 will play for various
master classes and competitions at the Classical Singer Convention in Los
Angeles. Jessica is also an avid fan of
musical theater and has served on productions of Songs for a New World, Ragtime: In Concert, Gypsy, Oliver!, She Loves Me, The
King and I, and Into the Woods. At USC, Jessica collaborated
with both the USC Opera and Chamber Opera groups and is in high demand as a
student recitalist for instrumentalists and vocalists. Most recently, Jessica served as
coach/pianist for USC Opera’s productions of Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and Mozart’s La
finta giardiniera.
